Applications are invited from IADVL Life Members (LMs) for Coordinator/ Convener/
Member of the following SIGs, with a tenure of 2 years (2024- 2025):
1.
Dermoscopy
2.
Dermatopathology
3.
Dermatology Clinical Research (DCR)
4.
Pediatric Dermatology
5.
Aesthetics
6.
Acne and appendageal diseases
7.
Lasers
Requirements
Coordinator/ convener
• Original work
in the field defined by at
least two original publications in the field as first or corresponding author
• 10 years in the practice of the field
• Preferably
who has worked as member of the given SIG in the past
Member
· Should be active academicians with 5
years of experience as a consultant dermatologist or a teacher in a medical
college.
· Preference shall be given to those
who are not members of other SIGs.
· Should have published article (at
least one) or chapter (at least one) or presented at least five scientific
papers in the chosen field at the State, Zonal or National level.
Responsibilities
· Multicentric studies and research projects
are the primary role of SIG.
· To design at least 1 research
projects within first three months of constitution of SIG
· To organize annual training courses
specifically aimed at young / early career dermatologists
· Conduction of seminars, workshops,
publication of books conditional to the above.
· The members will participate actively
in all activities planned by the SIG. The job responsibility will also involves
travel for the physical CMEs/workshops planned.
· To publish e-newsletters on matters
of current importance.
· To help update IADVL therapeutic
guidelines and consensus statements when needed.
· To help IADVL Academy of Dermatology
in preparing patient information leaflets.
• Thesis topics and
research topics where research work is required in a subject related to SIG to
be prepared by SIG
To note -
· Membership provides an opportunity to
play an active role in the development of the specialty and contribute to the
growth of the IADVL. Those who are not members of other SIGs will be preferred.
Functioning of various activities of SIGs will be subject to approval by
Chairperson/Convener IADVL Academy.
· A 6 monthly self-appraisal of members
has to be forward to the academy by the coordinator & convener of the
respective SIG with their comments for each member.
· Self-appraisal of coordinators and
conveners to be submitted to academy 6 monthly.
·
IADVL members who have been part of any SIG for 3
consecutive terms (6 years) in any role should not apply to allow opportunities
to other members.

interested in on the top of the application form as ‘Application for
coordinator/ convener/ member of SIG __________’ (strike out whichever is not
applicable) and send it with your CV to academy@iadvl.org and secretarygeneral@iadvl.org by 28th December, 2023.
Please mention ‘Application for SIG (name of the SIG)’ in the subject
line of your e-mail.
